This version above was done with a template and dies… the smaller template (5 x 5) and most of the dies are from Crafters Companion.  The template is found in the Template library, Violet set, #14. 

They are put together the same. 

10 x 7  Save as a png file print out exact size at 10 x 7.

Instructions on folding the card first…templates and printables at the end. 

1. Cut out the main piece, one Diamond, and four squares… cut out smaller versions of the Diamond and squares to mat as desired, and go ahead and put the mats together.

 Template/printable… if you want to print, make sure you save the templates as a png file. If you are on a devise like an ipad, you'll need to save to files not photos … the templates are png files, if printed at 300 dpi, they should be the correct size.  Double check the size, however. To do that, I’m including the template with a grid so you can double check, or cut by hand.  You might need to tell your printer to print exact size…  the printable pngs are the next three files.

   The next two files are just photos with the grid marks and dimensions if you want to hand cut. The square mat is just a 2” x 2”.

Scrap Savers Card #2

 Another Cricut card for those of us who hoard scraps… so fun.   I ink all the edges so the random scraps all look like they belong together. The Saying was stamped (crafters companion), but can easily be draw in the panel included in the project.  Made from All free shapes…

I included the inside pieces in separate colors as well as a set in all brown…so you can do one mat at a time or use the brown to do read out in one mat and cut all at once like this…

Spread it out well, and Just use the grid lines to match up.. I’ve found however that it takes more time to do it this way, as it does to use two mats and just keep it going color by color…

But the options are there… note it’s a bit confusing to put it together at first as there’s a tendency to try and put the pieces down at the right angles…use the photo to Kay the black shadow layer..I do the top and bottom piece first, it makes the others easier..
